The Derby Recreation Commission (DRC) strives each year to hire
the best staff possible. All members of the staff are held to
very high standards. Hard work and dedication is expected from
everyone that is a part of our TEAM. Each staff member/employee
is equally important to the ongoing success of the DRC.
Working
at the Derby Aquatics Park is a seasonal position. This being
so we want it to be understood we expect those being hired
to work for the entire season. You have the opportunity to give
us your availability and the hours per week you can commit to
working before you are hired. This information needs to be
as accurate
as possible so we hire the appropriate number of staff.
Rock
River Rapids will open to the public on Monday, May, 28.
All staff must be certified in CPR, First Aid and Adult/Child
AED prior
to opening. Lifeguards will also need to be certified as a
Waterpark
Lifeguard. We will be doing a waterpark lifeguard training
on May 25-27. Training for other aspects of the facility will
begin
up
to two weeks before opening. Please keep this is mind and know
you must be able to make it to all training days required for
your job position in order to work at the facility.
