Basic Kitchen is designed for those who seek the knowledge to learn to cook but have limited knowledge. All lessons are hand-on so you will acquire new skills while having fun.


ALL ABOUT KNIVES

Knives in the kitchen are a must, but you need to know how to use them properly.  You will use your newly learned knife skills cutting up vegetables and meat to make some tasty kabobs.

COOKING FOR ONE OR TWO *SERIES*

Many recipes out there are written for multiple people, but you’ll discover that plenty of recipes can be sized perfectly for one or two.  How about lasagna, Dijon-rosemary chicken, creamy Cajun chicken pasta or berry cheesecake parfaits to name a few.

COOKING WITH QUINOA

Learn fun and unique ways to eat this protein packed super food.  Quinoa is a great alternative in gluten free or diabetic diets.

Foodie 101 *Series*

In four relaxed, fun-filled classes, we’ll get you cooking, teaching you how to prepare simple, delicious and nutritious food.  You’ll learn about basic cooking techniques, cooking equipment, menu planning, kitchen safety and so much more.

Foodie 201 *Series*

This 4-week hands on class will help you become a more confident, creative cook.  Classes focus on stir fry, dairy basics, sauces, and basic baking of cakes and pies. This class is informative and fun - you’ll be amazed at what you can cook.
